Danger of FREE Pallets Without Markings

When you’d like to use free pallets for various garden projects, you should check their markings.

You need to stay away from “MB” and “EUR” because they are treated with a toxic pesticide.

  • HT: Heat Treated

  • MB: Toxic Methyl Bromide

  • DB: Debarked

  • KD: Kiln Dried

  • EUR: Old European Association

Also avoid any colored pallets (Red/Blue).

If the pallets don’t have markings, you’d better not use them. Remember free is not always free.
